Mazda 3 2016 Top Speed
2015 mazda3 top speed?
What is the top speed of my 2015 mazda 3? I heard there are three kinds of speed cielings: 1) power limited, where the engine can't push the air out of the way, 2) gear limited, where you redline it even in top gear, and 3) speed limiter, with a governer on it.
What is it for the m3? Am I understanding this correctly?

Car & Driver estimates it at 130 MPH. That seems a bit high to me. The fastest I've hit was around 107.6 in a track day last week.

You need a lottttt of straight road for our cars to hit their top speed. My 2.3L 2004 can do over 120.

I've hit 113 in my 2.5 on the highway without a ton of effort.

Depends on which engine you've got. I can speak for the diesel one, which is about 230km/h (~143MPH).

You sure about that? That's a lot of top speed for around 150hp.

for the 2.0 manual I have hit 120, it tops out in 5th. The 2.0 auto tops out in 4th.

I can't think of a reason why I would ever need to find the top speed short of this

In my '13 Skyactiv, I have hit 123 Mph before the governor kicked in. My '13 speed3 hit 145 (and wanted to keep going) but i got scared.

2016 2.5L and I have had it to 115 mph. I didn't push it past that.

My 2010 Mazda 3 i sport 2l with the quick shift manual mode I got up to about 115 straight. It was not comfortable though, I'd say it was smooth until it hit the 105 mark.
